While staying in a boarding house, Evelyn meets Ann Childs. Once that’s taken care of, she will head back to her life as an English Professor in Oakland, California. It’s the late 1950’s and Evelyn Hall is in Reno, Nevada for six weeks - just long enough to get a divorce. ![]() It was originally released in 1964, when homosexuality was still illegal, and is the source material of the film Desert Hearts.
